COVID-19 GOLF POLICIES & PROCEDURES

ALL GOLFERS MUST MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING OF 2 METERS AT ALL TIMES AND FOLLOW ALL PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS AS SET OUT BY THE PROVINCIAL HEALTH OFFICER.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

NOTICE

By booking and golfing at Wintergreen Golf & Country Club you agree that you have read, understand and will adhere to the below outlined policies & procedures.

Any player that is found to be in contravention of these policies & procedures will be asked to leave the property and will lose playing privileges. No refunds will be provided.

We thank you in advance for doing your part to help stop the spread of COVID-19.  Please stay safe and enjoy your round.

Management will continue to closely monitor the recommendations from the Alberta Government and Alberta Health Services.Our rules and policies are subject to change should governing bodies deem them necessary. FOR THE SAFETY OF RESORT GUESTS AND OUR STAFF PLEASE DO NOT VISIT IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLY:

  • If you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, sore throat, cough, difficulty breathing).
  • Live in a household with someone with COVID-19, symptoms of COVID-19 or who is self isolating due to possible exposure to COVID-19.
  • If you have travelled outside of Canada in the past 2 weeks or been in contact with anyone who has travelled outside of Canada in the past 2 weeks.

CLUB HOUSE

  • The Club House Restaurant is open for dine-in and takeout following all Alberta Health Regulations and Guidelines. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 11am until 7pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am until 7pm (subject to weather).
  • No access available to locker rooms and club storage.
  • Pro Shop will be limited to 4 customers at any given time.
  • Payments – We will be accepting credit card and debit transactions on site.  Cash payments are accepted but not preferred.
  • Pro Shop is open and offering shoes, clothing and a variety of golf accessories for purchase.
  • No tees, ball markers, divot repair tools or scorecards will be provided. Please download and print our scorecard prior to arrival.
  • No golf club rentals or demos will be available.

DRIVING RANGE

  • The short game chipping range and #1 practice putting green are open.  The long range remains closed until further notice.

ON COURSE FOOD & BEVERAGE

  • Caddy Shack will be open daily until 7pm (subject to weather and golfer volume).
  • Only 4 people are permitted in the Caddy Shack at a time.  Please follow the directional signs as there will be an entrance and exit door.
  • There is no potable water on the course – members should bring their own water bottle or purchase in the Caddy Shack.
  • No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted as this would be a violation of our liquor license.

WASHROOMS

  • Caddy Shack washrooms will be available. 
  • #4/#5 washroom will be open.
  • For all washrooms, cleaning will be increased throughout the day but we ask all guests to please be considerate and use the wipes provided to clean any surfaces they have touched. Sanitize hands prior to entering and exiting the washroom.
  • #13/#17 washroom will be closed.  Guests can access washroom facilities after #14 at the Caddy Shack.

PRE-GOLF

  • Tee times must be booked online or by calling the Pro Shop 403-949-3333 Ext 1.
  • No walk-up play is permitted!
  • All normal booking procedures apply.
  • DO NOT CARPOOL to the golf course unless you reside in the same household!
  • Foursomes are permitted.
  • Tee times will remain at 9 minute intervals.
  • Members will be responsible for their own clubs before and after their round – no club cleaning or storage is available.
  • All golfers must take their own bags in and out of their vehicle and place them on pull carts or power carts.
  • Golfers must arrive at the golf course no more than 15 minutes prior to their tee time.  If arriving earlier, you must remain in your vehicle until 15 minutes before your tee time.
  • If possible, do not park immediately adjacent to another vehicle. Please adhere to traffic cones and follow all signage.
  • In the event of a frost delay, please remain in your vehicle.
  • Power carts are single rider only unless you share the same household or both riders wear a face mask.  Two sets of golf clubs are also permitted on one power cart but golfers must follow social distancing guidelines when grabbing their clubs.
  • Pull carts are allowed. Member-owned pull carts are permitted, but must be taken home at the end of the round.

ON COURSE

  • Please follow all on course signage.
  • No accessories are available on the course such as ball washers, rakes, benches, garbage’s, etc.  Please make sure you do not litter on the golf course.
  • Bunker rakes will not be available.  Please smooth sand with your feet or club. Preferred lies are permitted in a bunker.
  • Flag poles should remain in the hole.  Do not touch the flag pole.
  • Play with your own golf ball and tee.  Do not use found balls or tees.
  • Do not touch or play with other golfers clubs.
  • Replace all solid divots.  No sand/seed mixture is provided.
  • Please continue to repair your ball marks on the green.
  • Players must always abide by the mandatory physical distancing requirements of at least 2 meters/6 feet. Please do not shake hands at the end of your round
  • After your round, we ask that you please empty your cart of garbage and recycling in the bins provided by the Pro Shop.
  • In the event of lightning, please seek shelter in your vehicle. The Club House will remain closed.
  • In the event of an emergency, please call 9-1-1 first.  Please notify the Pro Shop of the emergency so they can assist the medical professionals in accessing your location.

GENERAL

  • Do not come to the golf course if you are sick or feeling unwell.
  • Physical distancing and other requirements will be monitored by staff on golf course property.
  • Please adhere to the 2m distancing rule when speaking with staff.
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers will be made available at the entrance to any building or outlet.
  • No congregating anywhere on site or after your round of golf.
  • All golf leagues are cancelled until further notice.
  • All member tournaments are cancelled until further notice.  Some exceptions may apply.
  • Please note that there will not be an operating cash machine on the property.
